Work at World Vision and My Christmas Wishlist 2009!

My 2 week voluntary internship at World Vision just ended on Friday. Before this internship, I've never even heard of them, but 2 short weeks with this organisation has really been a real happy time for me. I have to admit, I was pretty apprehensive about this internship at first, because i had to wear skirts HAHA, and cos it'd take away my studying time. But i really enjoyed myself there!

The people at world vision are so passionate about helping the less fortunate, and they were so lovely and friendly to us interns. When we asked questions, they answered us patiently. When we were still new to the organisation, they warmly welcomed us. Miss Clarabelle Goh (ex-TKS teacher) was there and I was super shocked to see her!

One of the staff was even Ms Malaysia World 2003 and she's super pretty HEEHEE. Okay i'm straight. SRSLY. When 2 weeks ended, we were all sad to leave this wonderful office where we've made many new friends. Everyone should check out their Christmas Catalougue! You can get a needy child a gift this Christmas, or you can sponsor a child! Srsly considering an office job, but i hateee doing powerpoint slides and all that.

More WorldVision photos can be found on my FB. (: I miss kim who has gone to malaysia today ): Come back soon babe so we can study and go shop!!! I so need money lah, damn.

OKAY HERE IS MY WISHLIST 2009/2010 :D

Tomorrow

Desmond and Papa's Birthday!! Cake?? And i need to shop!

Totally!

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut-up.

2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half-hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with ‘Nothing’usually end in ‘Fine’.

4. Go Ahead: This is a dare. Not permission. Don’t do it!

5. Loud Sigh: This is actually not a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time and standing here and arguing with you about nothing.

6. That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. ‘That’s okay’ means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7. Thanks: A woman is thanking you. Do not question or faint. Just say you’re welcome.

8. Whatever: Is a woman’s way of saying ‘To hell with you!’

9. Don’t worry about it, I’ve got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a womanhas told a man to do several times, but is now doing it hersef. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For a woman’s response, refer to #3

!

I just heard the one of the nicest songs ever!

I Swear This Time I Mean It by Mayday Parade. Go listen!

500 Days of Summer

Watched it yesterday. Zooey Deschanel is so so pretty! Favourite scenes were when she was in ikea with tom, screaming ----- at the park super loudly.

The last few scenes were pretty sad though. How many people actually believe in Destiny and Fate?

"What if I decided to have my lunch somewhere else? What if i left my house 10 minutes later?"
So amazing that there are so many twists of fate in reality. Really really enjoyed myself yesterday, and your company.(:

Met Ivan at Parkway for a really late dinner after the movie. Thanks for that too dude!
